It has to be for the rest of the season

October 15th 2011, is one of the most awaited day for the LFC fans as we wll welcome Man Utd to Anfield for their first league clash this current season,

For the past few days I have been listening to the 'pundits' on TV and most of them are saying that Liverpool do have a chance to win. Of course as a fan I do want Liverpool to win! Furthermore, it is against Man Utd. This is a gigantic encounter, clearly shown by the various events and gathering venues which has been planned by various sponsors seeking to promote their branding to fans from both sides.

Both teams recorded a win in their last league fixtures prior to this coming game. United won against Norwich while Liverpool won the "Merseyside" derby. So both teams are in the mood. But, unlike previous seasons, when it comes to Liverpool v Man Utd little can we take little from the 'current' form. It will be an advantage, psychologically of course, as we LFC has done well against the Red Devils at Anfield. It would likely to sway to the team that are able to bring that extra perfomance and drive on match-day and its baseless comparing to current form.

News on whether captain Steven Gerrard is still vague. I'm sure Alex Ferguson will not only worry about Stevie G, he has the whole team to worry about this time around. Being Sir Alex himself, he sure knows how the Liverpool team will perform under King Kenny and he will have to find a way to counter this.

Based on last season, since King Kenny's return, we have been performing better. Man Utd won twice, but SAF will have to admit they were 'lucky' to have won the FA Cup tie at Old Trafford.

The motivation in liverpool camp to beat Man Utd would be higher after they took the 19th League Championship title. With new additions of players invested by NESV, the Reds looks a stronger team as compared to last season. However, this is a game of pride amogst faithful followers for both club, so neither would want to loose.

The only thing that they need to improve is 'consistency'. Winning ONE game against Man Utd is one thing, but being consistent enough to win the other games that matters most. Only then, we can tell them that we are better than them. It will be great if we can brag about the win on Sunday morning, but the feeling of being better than them at the end of the season is price-less!

I'm calling for all Liverpool fans out there, whatever the outcome of this Saturday's game, let us all keep on giving our 120% support to the team to win as many games as they can. I want to be able to brag ! I want to be able to smile! I want to be able to tell Man Utd fans that Liverpool FC is the best team in the WORLD!! Not on Sunday morning, but I want to be able to do it at the end of this season!
